Recently, the Indian cricket team won the T20 World Cup 2024 after 13 years of waiting. People are celebrating this victory of India, which shows the rising picture of Indian sports. India is always a favourite in cricket but in other sports, we are failing miserably. Somehow in the last few years, things have changed Indian sports culture is changing. Earlier people wanted to play cricket only now they are more interested in other sports also. All of this happened because of two major reasons first the outclass performance of Indian sportsmen and facilities that the Indian government is providing.   • One of the major problems in Indian sports is the involvement of politics. Favoritism, discrimination, and corruption are normal which affects the sports infrastructure in India.
  • People are in India not very aware that sports are a genuine career option. Indian cricketer KL Rahul’s mother was satisfied when he got a job from the RBI
  • Sports infrastructure is not world-class which is why we failed in many sports. 
  • Salaries of support staff and coaches are not up to global standards which is why most people do not show interest in coaching.
  • In the limelight of cricket, almost all the other sports fade away. It makes the children thinking if they want to make a career out of sports then need to opt for cricket. 
  • As of now if a person fails to make a career in sports then he/she may have to struggle for a living also.
  • Many gold medalists in India are living a hell life and many have sold their medals for a living.
