this has also been a great year for IIM Placements. After having all the data of all the IIMs placements of 2024 here are some insights:
- Minimum Salary: Rs.09.00 Lakh
- Maximum Salary: Rs. 01.15 Crore Per Annum in India.
- 21 students started their own business.
Students graduating from IIMs are considered one of the best managers of our country. They grow into their careers to become CEOs of many big conglomerates, and even this year IIM students did not disappoint the HRs of many big-name companies.
It has been observed that every IIM has a student cell which consists of students chosen from the current batch who in many ways is responsible for the campus placements in their college. In 2024 IIMs have managed to provide placements to all 100% students in all 21 IIMs with a whopping Highest Domestic Placement of 1.15 Crore Per Annum in IIM Calcutta.
Many big names like Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Bain & Company, Goldman Sachs, African Industries Group, Landmark Group, Deloitte, EY & BCG participated across all campuses. Apart from these giants, a few newly launched Indian startups also recruited IIM graduates at decent salaries.
The key fact is that almost 60% of the students have some kind of work experience of more than two years. This makes the placement packages go higher than ever in the domestic circuit.
Major of the placements in 2024 were from the consulting fields followed by marketing and operations. As per the reports, most of the IIMs witness a significant growth of 15% - 20% in their package offered to students.

IIM Ahmedabad Placement 2025
IIM Ahmedabad or IIM-A placement report for the year 2025 has been released. 2025 has been an amazing year for the IIM-Ahmedabad placement. The highest domestic packages are offered for 1.08 Crore per Annum and Highest International Placement is offered for 212,347 USD (1.76 Crore Indian Rupee). Placement at this institute has seen a whooping growth of 30%-40% in all sectors. Since this year they have faced tough competition from other IIMs in terms of placements. IIM-A is no longer the highest placement provider among all 21 IIMs. The average package offered in IIM-A was 35.78 Lakh for domestic circuits which is a little less than 2023 placements. 70+ companies have participated in placements and offered 178 job offers.
Placement Process
The final placement process was conducted in two stages. The first was the Laterals process where firms interviewed students with prior work experience and offered them mid-level managerial positions. 30 firms hired from diverse sectors such as technology, banking, consulting, general management and analytics. In the second stage of the Final placement process, firms were grouped into cohorts based on the profile offered, and groups of cohorts were invited to campus across different clusters.

IIM B Placements Details
IIM B managed to place 529 students out of 530 students of batch 2022-2024 and that one student has opted out from the placement process. Like last year the highest number of offers were made from the consulting sector followed by finance and marketing. The average package offered to students is 35.31 LPA which is 7% higher than last year's placements. Also, there is no official news about the highest placement package but as per the source, it can be 01.15 Cr this year. Students of IIM Bangalore have received 606 offer letters from the 164 companies visiting the 2023 - 2024 placements.

IIM-C Placements Details
IIM Placements 2024 has been quite amazing for the students of IIM Calcutta. The highest domestic package bags by IIM C students is 01.15 Crore per annum. 465 students are in the batch out of which 21 students were chosen to be entrepreneurs and started their own startup.170+ companies have visited the colleges for placements and made 600+ job offers. The average package of IIM C students for 2024 was 35.07 LPA which was slightly higher than 2023 placements. Most of the students were placed in the consulting sector followed by finance and product management. Almost 39% of the students have more than 24 months experience. Placements were completed in three parts - 266 Job offers in the first part, 253 in the second, and 100+ in the Final Part.

Ranked 3rd IIM in management education by NIRF, IIM Kozhikode witnessed a significant increase in placement numbers in 2024. The average salary offered to students has been increased by 30% to 40% this year. The highest domestic package offered to IIM Kozhikode students in 2024 is 67.02 LPA which was 10% higher than the 2023 placement figure. In this year's placements, a total of 123 companies have participated and rolled out 573 job offers to the students.

Nothing less than a dream placement 2024 has been a great success for IIM Lucknow. With 100% placement of the batch, IIM Lucknow managed to attract 200 recruits for the placements. The average package offered to a student in IIM Lucknow is 32.23 LPA. The highest domestic placement is 01.00 Cr and the highest international placement is 65 LPA at IIM Lucknow. Figures are enough to tell that this is one of the best MBA placement colleges in India.
