CAT - The Complete GuideAs per the news, the CAT 2024 exam admit cards are expected to be available for download from October 26, 2024. All the registered candidate of CAT 2024 can download their admit card from the official website till November 24, 2024. To appear in this year's CAT examination having the admit card is a must and required to bring a physical copy to the examination. Candidates are also required to read the instructions written on the admit card and follow them. No one is allowed to enter the examination hall of CAT 2024 without a hall ticket. It is advised to the candidate to download their CAT hall ticket as soon as possible to rectify the error on the admit card if any or avoid the server-down situation.
For downloading admit card students need to use CAT login id at the iim-cat website. The download of admit cards can be done till the examination begins. As per the IIM announcement the exam is scheduled on November 24, 2024 at 410+ test centres in 150+ cities. The CAT 2024 exam will be conducted in three slots -morning, afternoon and evening.

How to Download CAT 2024 Admit Card?
Admit card will be available for download on the official website only. For downloading the CAT admit card, candidates needs to follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official CAT 2024 website link - iimcat.ac.in.
- Click on 'Login' .
- Enter registration ID and password.
- Click on 'admit card'.
- Click on download and save the admit card on desktop.
- Take a print out of the admit card.

Problems Candidates may face while Downloading CAT Admit Card
In general aspirants faces the following issues while downloading the admit cards. The solution is also given.
Website not responding:
More than 2,50,000 students will be applying for the CAT Exam. The CAT website may face technical issues sometimes due to heavy traffic load or any other reason. In such a situation, wait for some time, do not continuously try to log in. Log out and visit the website after sometime to download your admit card.
Slow internet speed:
Sometimes your laptop or mobile may not have enough internet data or wi-fi may not be working properly. Check the speed of your internet connection. If it is slow, switch to a faster internet connection to download your CAT exam admit card.
Wrong password or login credentials
If you have forgotten your password and unable to recall the login credentials, then you need to use the ‘forgot password’ option given on the examination website and follow the instructions to change the password and use it for downloading the CAT hall ticket.
Errors to Check in CAT Admit Card 2023
After downloading the admit card, candidates must cross check and verify all the information mentioned on it. The following information on CAT exam admit card must match with the information on the CAT application form:
- Your Name and spelling should be same as in CAT application form
- CAT registration number must be the same as the registered user ID
- Date of birth should be the same as mentioned on the application form and in official documents
- Caste category status should same as in CAT application form
- PwD/DA status should be same as in CAT application form
- Test city must be from one of the options mentioned in the application form
- Candidate's photograph and signature must be clearly visible
How to Correct Errors in CAT 2024 Admit Card?

CAT Exam Day Instructions
- The aspirants must carry two copies of the CAT 2024 admit card and a photo ID proof (original and photocopy)
- Only admit card & photo ID card will be allowed inside the exam hall
- Writing pad and pen will be provided inside the exam hall for rough work and that’s to be returned after the test. Candidates will be required to write their name and registration number on the writing pad.
- Candidates must reach the exam centre at the reporting time mentioned in their admit cards
- Candidates must use the Reference Number printed on the admit card for identifying the door/wing/lab at the test venue on the day of the test
- Candidates are not supposed to sign their CAT exam admit card beforehand. The admit card is to be signed only inside the exam hall in front of the invigilator
- Candidates must affix their photo same as the one uploaded with the CAT application form
- Mobile phone, calculator, IPad or any other gadget is prohibited inside the examination hall
- Candidates are advised not to carry bags or luggage to the CAT exam centre as there will be no provision to submit bags and valuables
- Jewellery that contains metal, clothes with pockets, jackets and footwear are prohibited inside the exam hall
- Candidates with a metal implant, pacemaker, etc. in their body will be required to bring medical certificate of the same
