About CAT Exam Date 2024

CAT 2024 official notification is released by the IIM Calcutta on 28th July 2024. As per the official document the CAT 2024 registration is starting from 01 August, 2024 and will close on 20th September, 2024. Like every year CAT 2024 exam will be held on the last Sunday of November which is 24th November 2024. As per the official notification CAT 2024 result will be declared in Second week of January 2025. Admit cards will be available for download from the 05th November to the 24th of November.

Important points to keep in mind

CAT 2024 Exam will be held in three slots – Morning, Afternoon & Evening
This time CAT Exam will be scheduled to be conducted at over 420 Test Centres, spread across 170 cities in India.
It offers candidates the option to select five cities in order of preference to appear for the exam instead of last year's six cities
Syllabus and exam pattern remains the same as last year with 75-80 questions divided into three sections.
CAT remains a computer-based test as last year. Candidates need to appear for the exam at test centers.
The questions will be MCQs only. No negative marking for Non-MCQs

Slot Timings of CAT

CAT exam is conducted in three slots – Morning, Afternoon and evening.

Morning Slot - 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
Afternoon Slot - 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
Evening Slot - 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Last entry for the aspirants is set half an hour before the exam commences.
