This is an entrance exam that enables you to get admission in various PG Programmes across multiple government and private universities in India, conducted by NTA (national testing agency) every year in the months of April and March. This Common University Entrance Test is not limited to only MBA, this exam is also useful for MEd, MA, MSc, MCom, etc. In 2025 the exam has already been conducted and results have been released on their website, now students are preparing for CUET PG 2026.
This exam doesn’t require college selection, you can select your paper code and after score card release based on your score you will be able to apply for MBA admission in multiple universities. For example, the paper code for mba is COQP12, Paper code for M.ed (Master of Education) is COQP15. You can check your subject's paper code on the official website.
It is an national-level exam for undergraduate admissions known as Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate. It is take by class 12th pass-outs aiming for BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, etc. in central universities and by students targeting graduation in disciplines like Economics, Political Science, Commerce, and more. MBA, PGDM, and similar postgraduate courses need a graduate degree plus an appropriate entrance, NOT a UG entrance.
You CANNOT get into an MBA program in DU, BHU, or JNU via CUET UG.

Note: If a candidate opting for test centres outside India then he/she have to pay 6000 rupees for upto two test papers. Read the previous information bulletin for CUET PG 2025.
For MBA, exam patter will have 75 MCQs type questions with marking of +4 for correct answers and -1 for incorrect answers. If you unattempt a question then this will deduct 0 marks. The duration for this exam will be 90 minutes. If you are a student who belongs to a rural area then you will face no issue with the paper medium because this exam is bilingual, which has both Hindi and English medium paper. All questions will be based on the subject specific knowledge and will be compulsory to attempt. That means if you don’t attempt a question then that will be marked as unattempted and have 0 marks for that question.

Students who want to qualify this exam to get into good colleges then they need to have an understanding of how much to score. Total marks for CUET PG MBA is 300. So if you want to be on the safe side then you have to score at least 80-90 percent, which is approximately 240 to 270 marks.
But for colleges such as TISS, BHU and other good colleges, competition usually is high, so you should try to score more than 270 to be hundred percent sure of your admission. Other than a good score you also need some other skills in the area of group discussion and personal interview because before your selection you need to take part in them.

It is NOT for postgraduate programs like MBA or PGDM. You can get admission by CUET PG for Postgraduate programs. CUET UG (Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate) is a national-level exam for undergraduate admissions in Indian central and several state universities.
Yes, many government and private universities require an entrance exam score to get into their MBA programs. But it is not mandatory to have CUET PG score, if you have a good CAT score then you can get admission into any college you want.
