General English:

  1. This section tests reading fluency, grammar accuracy, and vocabulary strength. In reading comprehension you will have short passages with direct and inferential questions, identifying tone, intent, central ideas, Vocabulary in context.
  2. In Verbal reasoning you will have analogies, idioms, contextual vocabulary, sentence correction and completion, as well as antonyms-synonyms, one-word substitutions, spelling, usage, and pronunciation, business-technical terms.
  3. For grammar, prepare tenses, voice, and parts of speech, sentence structure, prepositions, connectors, error spotting, etc.


This will be the syllabus for general English for the SNAP exam. This section contains 15 questions with 1 mark for correct answer, so you will get maximum marks for this section is 15. Where grammar and vocabulary have a good volume of questions.

Analytical ability and logical reasoning:

This section covers analytical ability, logical Reasoning and tests your ability to analyze patterns, sequences, with logical structures.

This has following topics: Blood relations, arrangements, series-patterns, directions, rankings, strengthen/weaken arguments, assumptions, conclusions, statement-inference, cause-effect, grid-based reasoning, set theory, number logic, problem-solving, venn diagrams, premise-conclusion logic, deductive reasoning,


In this section your speed and accuracy are essential as they will decide your overall paper. This section has highest marks in all three sections, this contains 25 questions with 1 mark per correct answer and you will have 25 max marks. Quantitative, Data interpretation and Data sufficiency:

This section focused on candidates quantitative ability and data interpretation skills. This section contain following topics:

Percentages, profit & loss, SI & CI, time-speed-distance, time & work, ratios, mixtures, averages, equations, inequalities, logarithms, sequences, series, functions, permutations-combinations, angles, triangles, circles, polygons, areas, perimeters, 3D shapes, coordinate geometry, tables, graphs, charts, Probability and statistics.


These topics are also time consuming and should be top priority for your SNAP exam. This section contains the second highest no. of marks. It has 20 questions with 1 mark for each question.

Remember this exam has a negative marking system where you will get 25% negative marks for each question. You will get a -0.25 mark for an incorrect answer. So in the SNAP exam your accuracy is very important.
