MAT Exam 2026 Dates : Registration(Started), Revised MAT Exam Dates and Timing 2026

The MAT exam for December 2025 was conducted on 13 and 21. Where PBT (Paper Based Test) exam was held on 13 December 2025 and CBT (computer based test) was conducted on 21 December 2025. If some students were unable to attend or give this exam then you need not to worry because this exam is held four times a year. It means one exam every three months. So the next MAT entrance exam will be held in February 2026. Prepare well and register yourself on the MAT official website.

Why should you not worry about MAT exam dates? For MAT exam dates you need to understand how this exam is conducted. This exam is for MBA students and this exam was originally introduced to students by AIMA (All India Management Association), to ensure that all the students get fair and equal chances to get into top B-schools around the nation. To fully fill that requirement AIMA decided to conduct this exam multiple times in a year.

So you need not to worry about exam dates, as you can give it every 3 months. There is one thing that an MBA aspirant needs to keep in mind and that is this exam conducted via two modes one is PBT and other is CBT, the exam date for both exams are different. Generally PBT mode is held one week before the CBT mode.

This year also it followed the same pattern in December 2025 the PBT mode was held on 13 Dec. and CBT mode was on 21 Dec. around 8 days apart.

In September 2025 the PBT mode was held on 21 September 25 and CBT mode was on 28 September 2025, again 7 days apart.

Additional Date details of MAT examination

As you know this exam is held four times a year and its result also comes 4 times a year where the scorecard is valid for 1 year. The results come after a month of examination, so for February, results come in March. For the May exam the results come in June. For September and December, results come in October and January.

So for the December 2025 MAT exam your result will be expected to come in January 2026. You can check the results by your MAT registration credentials. This result will be valid for the year 2026.

What comes after result of MAT examination

After the MAT result you need to get your admission to B-schools for MBA, many of the colleges have their own admissions process and criteria. You need to give more tests that include, Personal interview and group discussion as well as verification of your academic background. These steps will help the colleges in the admissions process.

At the time of MAT registration, students need to choose 5 colleges that they want to attend, and AIMA helps them by giving respective colleges your details. After MAT exam result declaration, AIMA share your details with your 5 preferred colleges. But if you want to apply for more colleges than you have to apply to them on your own via their official college website.

MAT Exam 2025 Registration Fees

Candidates can opt for Computer Based Test (CBT) by paying a fee of INR 2200/-.

Candidates can opt for Paper Based Test (PBT) by paying a fee of INR 2200/-.

Candidate willing to appear in MAT can opt for either the tests i.e. PBT and CBT by paying a sum of INR 3800/-. Those Candidates opting for both PBT and CBT will have the benefit of selecting additional 2 Management Institutions for sending their scores in addition to the existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutions i.e. they can select 7 Management Institutions in total.
