ATMA 2021 - The Complete Guide

Exam Pattern

  • ATMA is changed to AI Auto Proctoring Test from one’s home instead of Centre based online test
  • It is compulsory to appear in Demo Test before the actual ATMA exam from your home
  • Registered candidates need to login with their PID and Password at official exam website atmaaims.com
  • Candidates need to make proper Computer Arrangements with necessary browser versions at their home
  • The test is distributed over six sections, each section is split into two parts - I and II
  • Questions are asked from Analytical Reasoning, Verbal Skills, and Quantitative Skills as per the ATMA exam pattern
  • Duration of the test is three hours
  • Each section must be essentially solved within 30 minutes
  • The score is calculated out of 180

Syllabus

ATMA test intends to evaluate a candidate’s aptitude in a variety of management skills. Hence, questions in the exam are outlined in such a way that requires sensible analysing and logical thinking capabilities, verbal, and numerical ability.

Section Wise Required Skills to Prepare with ATMA Syllabus

There are three major sections in ATMA Exam syllabus. Each of the three sections is further divided into two parts making ATMA exam syllabus specifying key topics and questions for six sections.

Sections: Analytical Reasoning Skills – I & II

Number of Questions: 30+30
Sectional Time Limit: 30 minutes+30 minutes = 1 hour

A candidate must have the analytical skills to analyse the situation and arrive at conclusions to write answers. A candidate will be expected to answer questions based on Critical Reasoning, Course of Action, Statement-Inference, Strong/Weak Arguments, Coding-decoding, so far and so forth.

As the name suggests, Verbal Skills judges a candidate on the usage of English through various comprehension and exercises.

The syllabus for Quant section is overly broad. Quantitative Ability (Quant) is the 3rd and final section in the ATMA exam pattern. The syllabus and pattern for Quant is vast and covers everything in Mathematics, that you may or may not expect.

The section Quantitative skills is based on questions from different topics of Arithmetic, Algebra, Modern Math, Geometry, Mensuration, etc.

  • Questions in Quantitative skills will be based on high school Mathematics. Candidates ought to focus on polishing their basics from their high school books. An attempt of 41 to 42 questions with 80 to 90% accuracy will help candidates to champion the exam.
  • Verbal skills section tests a candidate’s knowledge regarding correct usage of grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension. Candidates can improve their skill of solving questions from this section by reading newspapers and books.

Each section in ATMA exam is equally important. The unique weightage system is what matters for shortlisting process of colleges. If you do not score required percentile in any of the sub-divided three sections, you will not be shortlisted by any college.
